Ebay Magic

So earlier this week, I purchased a dress on Ebay.  It was my first time buying something WITHOUT using the “buy it now” option…because frankly, competing with strangers on line for things seemed weird.  But this time, I thought I’d give it a go.  And happily, I won the dress and had to pay just $13.99 for it - and it’s a brand new with tags pure silk adorable little Anthropologie dress.  So yay for me!

But here’s the interesting thing.  When I received the dress in the mail yesterday, packaged ever so carefully in a nice box, I discovered that the sender/seller decided to include a little extra surprise.  Laying on top of the dress was a set of false eyelashes, also new, in a handy false eyelash carrying case.

Now I ask you.  What would compel a perfect stranger to send me a pair of false eyelashes?  Who DOES that?  Do I send a thank you note?  What exactly is the protocol for responding to such a gesture?  Should I try them out and send her a photo?

I look forward to your suggestions.

Seriously. You should be singing the Willie Wonka song “I gotta Golden Ticket” and prancing around your house wearing those “enhancers.” No, seriously. Do it.

You are living the golden life… much like the time I was getting arrested by a female cop and as she was frisking me, she made a comment about my awesomely sculpted calf muscles… I might have had pepper spray burning out my corneas, but that was truly the greatest day of my life

I think you you should put the eyelashes and dress on your husband and send them a picture.
