The Mock Dock

So remember Suzanne Pleshette from the Bob Newhart Show? Probably not, since I’m old and most of the 14 readers we have here at the Mockdock are like, children. Anyway, Suzanne Pleshette just died. And she was known not only for the part on Bob Newhart but also because she had this super husky voice. So it got me to thinking about super husky voices, and naturally my mind went straight to Rita Cosby, who I hate almost as much as Mariah Carey, but not quite as much as I hate Ashley Judd.

Anyway, when you watch Rita on the news, it’s kind of like watching some sort of alien pigwoman with a chest cold. Her voice seriously makes me want to stab my eardrums with a pair of drumsticks. The clip above is from a year or two ago, and it’s really not all that interesting. But I just felt like I ought to provide a clip of the voice of the pigwoman since I’m talking about her and all.
