For safety measures, I cut a hole in the middle of a paper plate and put the "candle" through it and slid it down all the way to the bottom of the candle, leaving just enough room to put the tip of it in my ear. If you tilt your head to the side when the candle is burning, any ashes or melting wax (which has never happened to me) would be caught by the plate. Can you get a visual on that? Consider me a new reader too! I agree with the ear candles. It's so gross...and you can feel the nasty stuff coming out of your head and sinus cavity. It's a slight tingle, but it's amazing. I'd say give it a go....I'm not making any promises as to how you're going to feel afterwords (energized, etc.) But it's pretty repulsive what can build up in your head! I just stumbled on your site.
