The Mock Dock

The final four sing it out.  Jump in to read how they did!

First of all, Jason Castro’s dreads look especially fuzzy tonight.  For whatever that’s worth.

David Cook - Hungry Like the Wolf:  He looks very smug tonight.  But you know what?  He’s freaking awesome.  I’m going to allow him some smugness.  Some smugaliciousness, if you will.  I don’t know that he did anything particularly amazing and unique with this song, but he sang it well nevertheless.  I’m still kind of in love with him.  How long do you think Paula practiced the ”Your Hungry Like The Wolf left me with a big appetite” line?

Syesha - Proud Mary:  I really really really like Syesha.  And this was fine.  I didn’t super duper love it, but it was good.  I almost think she should have either done the song as much like Tina as possible, or completely differently, but she was sort of a mix, and it didn’t work.  Plus, Simon’s chest hair is out of control, and after catching a glimpse of it right before she sang, I couldn’t think of much else except for eeeew.

Dreads - I Shot The Sherriff:   Awful.  And holy crap is he on Simon’s sh*t list tonight.  Yowza!

David Archuleta - Stand By Me: Nice!  This performance should guarantee that he’ll get no spankings from daddy tonight.  Still, I won’t ever buy a CD of his.  He’s too precious.  And it’s starting to get on my nerves.

David Cook - Baba OReilly: Well, I liked this, even as my husband was wincing in pain and acting like it was the worst thing that had ever happened to music ever. 

Syesha - A Change Is Gonna Come:  She is SO FREAKING PRETTY.  And I thought this was great.  She needs to stay, and Dreads needs to flee.  And I think all of her blubbering pretty much sealed the deal for her to stay.

Dreads - Mr. Tambourine Man:  See ya, Dreads.  Forgetting the words to Bob Dylan does not bode well for you. 

David Archuleta - Love Me Tender:  I liked this, except it was a little creepy coming from him.  It helps me, actually, to imagine that he was singing it to a stuffed animal.

There will probably be a SHOCKING ELIMINATION tomorrow, which will mean Syesha is leaving.  And Dreads will stay.
