    What explains this phenomenon of watching celebrities self-destruct so publically, whereas in decades past, we didn’t? Was it just more hidden then? Or were less celebrities unravelling so spectacularly?

    Don’t these people (Lohan, Winehouse, Spears, et al) have someone that can say “Stop/you’re a mess/you’re an embarrassment/you have to get help” etc? Like lainey always says, if she pulled one panty-less outing that was captured on film her mother would be on her doorstep squawking in her face. Mine would react a bit more WASPy, but there would be consequences!

    Do you suppose there’s at least one dermatologist out there who sees these pictures and drives to Wino’s house (apparently the address is well-known) and says “I can help you.”?

    Gee, thanks… you know, I’m on a diet right now and I was having some problems staying away from the refrigerator, but thanks to you and this entry, I’m pretty sure I won’t be eating AT ALL for a while.

    Just when I thought Amy Winehouse couldn’t get any uglier.

    Sammie - the problem is that these idiots have idiots for parents. See Dina Lohan. It’s like a never-ending cycle of destruction.

    And, without it, we’d have a lot less to mock. :D

    This profile picture looks like a horribly gone wrong “before” picture for a skin care product! If it could cure that, it could cure anything! Actually, she doesn’t need a dermotologist, she needs a drug rehab counselor with her at all times.
