Best excuse ever for trying to score cocaine and crack? ”I’m doing research for a role.”
Tatum O’Neal, who has been open about her addiction issues in the past, was just totally busted for trying to buy drugs just a few blocks away from her NY apt. This is how it apparently went down:
“When the police approached, she asked them, ‘You know who I am, right?’ ” one source said.
“Then she said, ‘I’m researching a part - I’m doing this for a part as a junkie.’ “
“Then she said she’d been clean for two years, and that she’d just came out today,” the source said.
“Can’t we just forget about this?” sources said she begged the detectives.
So I’m guessing that the reason this excuse sort of fell apart is because she hasn’t actually HAD a role to research in like, forever. But even if by some miracle she was actually preparing for an acting role, I’m pretty sure she’s had enough Actual Life Experience to avoid having to buy MORE drugs.
Points for effort though.
I remember the first time I saw her after not seeing her for awhile (on Sex and the City, I think) and thinking, “Wow, she’s had a pretty hard life…” She has not aged very well, and now we know it’s because she’s hitting the pipe!
I am so turned on by this chick…and have been for some time…any woman who can hang with me and my bad habits is a dream girl…she goes beyond “hanging” with me and could push me to new heights…Tatum..if you are reading this…call me…and bring some kind bud…less likely to get hard time for that baby…use your brain…
No, it wasn’t Sex and the City. That was the woman from 3rd Rock from the Sun, Kirsten Something, and she looked horrible, too. I was thinking of Rescue Me when she first came on it and how appropriate her role as an alcoholic was for her.
She was also in Sex in the City she held a party and someone stole Carrie’s shoes….
She looks like a more emaciated (if that’s even possible) version of horrible lemon-face Renee Zellweger. Ugh.
See, Angela, I thought that was the character played by the 3rd Rock from the Sun lady (amazon)…I think she fell out of the window to her death.
