So listen to this! Dame and Holmes think I’m crazy, but I am feeling like I am going to see a ghost soon. And here’s why.
This weekend, I finished up another Jodi Picoult book - this one about ghosts. I totally loved it - and was fascinated by the whole storyline of a ghosthunter and a little girl seeing ghosts and haunted properties and just the whole spookiness of it.
THEN, my mother in law tells me a story - TOTALLY OUT OF THE BLUE - about how her sister was staying at a haunted (unbeknownst to her) hotel a few weeks ago. This sister, who I’ll call Jill because that’s her actual name, was getting herself and her kids ready to go out, when her 3 year old little boy said, “Mommy -who’s that?” pointing to absolutely no one. And Jill said, “Who’s who? I don’t see anyone, ” and her son said, “That man. He died.” Which was completely freaky because this three year old has never been told about death or dying nor would he have any reason to know the word “died” in the first place. Only later in their stay did they become aware that the hotel was supposedly haunted, and guests frequently see spirits hanging out there. Which is why I got to type the word “unbeknownst” earlier in this paragraph. So totally spooky, right?
AND THEN, if that wasn’t enough spookiness for one weekend, today I had a half hour long conversation with a person I just met who sees dead people and conducts ghost tours on a regular basis. I’m NOT MAKING THIS UP!!!
Don’t you think that 3 separate instances of indirect ghost exposure in a matter of 3 days is like a sign that I’m totally going to meet a ghost? I really think this is what all of this means. I’m kind of excited about it, really. I will alert you all to my ghostular experience as soon as it happens. Meantime, if you have ghostacious stories to share, I would love to hear about them!!
God I hope you see a ghost soon Mockarena. I hope Casper is cooking dinner tonight!
That is so weird. Following this logic, I am going to see Edward James Olmos. This weekend, I saw “Stand and Deliver” on Starz, then someone was playing “Selena: Greatest Hits” in their car when I pulled up next to them yesterday. And, to top it all off, the attendant at the gas station had really bad acne pock-marks…

You guys are both jerks. You’re going to be really sorry you made fun when my ghost brings me the map to a million dollar treasure and I don’t share it with either of you.
Having grown up in a superstitious culture and a mega-superstitious family with utterly freaky stories (to the point I used to think the devil lived under my bed….) it would take way too much space writing those stories…. and don’t wanna scare you folks…
But I’d like to say yeah things do come in 3s (not only celebrities’ death / turning into ghosts), since last week one morning a cop on undercover chased me down the freeway to give me a speeding ticket (what kind of freak cop is hanging out at that time!), day as I was steppin’ on the gas to speed up the freeway ramp… rain…. almost crashed. Then the NEXT (3rd) morning, no kidding, I’m on the garage and the moment I THINK about speeding (me & this guy at work have some competition going on) BANG I crash on the wall.
Boring story and un-ghost related (unless I try again and become one–been taking the train ever since)… but true!
Hope if you oh mocking highness meet a ghots that it’s not one like them horror films & stories I grew up with…

ps. it was 5:25 am the cop chased me, and boy am I lucky I wasn’t caught when I was going 135mph… boy do I love German engineering….
