This is fashion designer Vivienne Westwood, who, as it turns out, is an ungrateful jerk.
She was totally promoted in the Sex and the City movie - name dropped and praised and lauded and commended all over the place. And her way of thanking the movie for this recognition? By saying this:
“I thought ‘Sex and the City’ was supposed to be about cutting-edge fashion and there was nothing remotely memorable or interesting about what I saw. I went to the premiere and left after 10 minutes.”
Apparently, judging from this picture of her, she believes that being cutting edge and memorable and interesting involves looking like a corpse.
I hope they make a sequel and that they rip her to shreds in it. And then I hope they say, “There, Vivienne Westwood. Was that cutting edge enough for you?” Get it? Ripped to shreds = Cutting Edge.
I kill me.

So, she should have lied?
I appreciate the esoteric approach here…Shoudl she have lied, indeed? It would seem that in a world of shifting morality, self-serving glory-hounding and personal aggrandizement at all costs, fading the truth would indeed fit one’s needs, but in this instance it served in opposition to the norm. So the lie begets the truth…or does the truth beget the lie?
Are you sure this is a fashion designer and not just some homeless person?
What a bitch! She should be grateful that her dress and name got out there. Please SATC has been around for 6 years! You don’t know what kind of show it’s like??? I have seen ghosts nicer looking than her.
Here’s my thing…10 minutes? I saw the movie with Mock, and really, not much was happening in the first 10 minutes. I hadn’t even started eating my twizzlers yet. Seems like if you knew you were going to be featured in a movie…you’d stick around to actually hear your name and see your dress on SJP. Or stay at least until the intro credits have stopped.
I think they name-dropped just to try and score free **** from her. Not that I have evidence of this; I just think SATC is boring, played-out and ridiculous.
To sammie’s point - I’m not saying she should have LIED, but she certainly could have been gracious and said something like, “I appreciate the sentiment and the fact that they thought highly enough of me to include me in the show.”
She didn’t need to then knock the very movie that was trying to be nice to her. That’s what makes her an ungrateful jerk
-Apparently cutting edge fashion means being dressed by Tim Burton.
Whoa! What a hag!
I think even Tim Burton would be offended by this.
