Sammie, I didn’t say I absolve her of responsibility. I agree that there’s a hefty vengeance factor here. I’m saying that I’d be sorely tempted to expose this guy for the perv he is. I think that exposure is better than keeping everything on the QT and pretending to the kids that Dad’s an OK guy.

Sorry, wordwych, I disagree. It’s not a public service she’s doing, it’s vengeance.

Kids can and should learn for themselves when they have a jerk for a parent, not from the other parent. Or the newspaper.

I have a hard time absolving her of all responsibility for a (fourth) failed marriage - even the thinnest pancake has two sides. She married the guy, let him adopt her child, and out of the blue he turns into a monster? Doubt it.

I have to admit that while I don’t care for Christie (I will never forgive her for inspiring Billy Joel to waste his amazing writing and singing talents on the spew-inducing “Uptown Girl”) I kinda-sorta think I’d do the same thing she’s doing if I were in her shoes. Yes, there are kids involved, but a kid needs to know if Dad is, as Amanda so succinctly put it, a douchebag! In fact, I think for the population, especially the women who might consider dating this skeezy perv in the future, to know that he is what he is. I’m sure his attorneys are going to try some sob-story defense (”Oh, pity him, he’s sick with sex addiction and he can’t control himself…”), because that’s what they get paid to do.

Well some info on online porn. My sister works for a company that maintains and does the credit card billing for some of the very big name porn companies and from the little bit she’s told me is you get “sign ons” and are then charged monthly for them, like a subscription. So not just everytime you sign on, if he were to sign up to many many many of them I could see the bill racking up, but it’s still A LOT of money! Can’t he just go to the adult shop and buy some videos and save some money? Maybe that’s the “smart shopper” in me. LOL

Smut is fun, that’s why we’re all here (everyday!), but there’s something really distasteful to me about Christie wanting to publicize the divorce proceedings. I get the revenge factor, but there are children involved, and it hardly seems that the satisfaction of seeing your ex humiliated is worth humiliating your children in the process.

And while I’m on it, wasn’t this husband #4 for her? Might indicate she has some issues of her own…just sayin…
