Oh I dunno about that, Wendy. I think it's the kid. I have 4 boys, and only one had his 'blankie'. But he gave that up when he was about... 3, I think? He was just as attached to me as the others were, he simply liked having his blanket with him. I think it was the softness that he liked so much.

One of my nieces has that SAME blanket which still must accompany her everywhere. She is nearly 7. None of my kids ever got attached to any inanimate objects, so I'm always a little curious about parents whose kids do. Why aren't they attached to mom instead? Is it because of all the nannies?

The bottle is bad enough... what makes it so much worse is it is a Scientology milk bottle... L Ron Hubbard's recipe of corn syrup, milk, whey, water and honey is ATROCIOUS for children.

Is Suri cross-eyed? Perhaps she is not really Tom Cruise's daughter. Maybe her father lives in St. Louis. ;)

I will say that I let my son have his pacifier until he was 4 (only at night), and we finally got rid of it on his 4th birthday in March. His teeth have already moved back to where they are supposed to be! (But, no bottle--sippy cups are sucked just like bottles, almost, so it satisfies that sucking urge. **just waiting for Holmes' remark** :)

Celebrity parents don't displine their children - that's the nannies' job. The only responsibility celebrity parents have is to spoil their children.

My daughter sucked on a pacifier until she was 4 and I am sure I let her have a bottle until whenever she wanted it,except at bedtime. She doesn't have any mouth problems(she is 11 now). I really don't like Katie and Tom but I really can't judge their parenting skills by this picure and God knows none of us are perfect parents!! Parenting is hard and some battles are not worth fighting.

According to my Pediatrician, you're supposed to wean your kids off of the bottle and the pacifier by their 1st birthday, because you run the risk of bottle-rot, and changing the shape of the mouth. Of course, when you have the bucks that they have, Mommy and Daddy can take care of her teeth when she's older!
