Remember Raven Simone from the Cosby Show? Look at her cute little smiley face. Adorable, right? Huggin’ on Kermit - sooo cute.
But you know how child stars have basically no hope of growing up normal whatsoever? It appears that Raven Simone is no exception. Evidently, she’s a singer now. And she obviously believes that as such, she should dress like a complete lunatic. I don’t even think Bjork would wear this.
I think I know what happened. Raven was fast asleep on her tour bus in a near diabetic coma from having consumed a couple gallons of ice cream and cookies. Her manager or someone yelled at her enough to rouse her (”Wake up! Wake UP! YOU GO ON IN FIVE MINUTES!”) and she, without bothering to remove her sleep mask, grabbed the nearest garments and struggled into them. Then she staggered in the general direction of the voice or voices urging her to hurry up, had a mic shoved into her hand and was thrust on stage, where the “You must perform” conditioning that has been hammered into her brain apparently since she learned to walk took over.
“You know what would look GREAT? The black sports bra, a ripped up Flashdance T-shirt, and that new corset we got!”
I think she’s yawning. Maybe wordwych is right about the diabetic coma thing.
I remember when Raven was on the Cosby show, such a cuty petite little thing. After the show was off the air, you didn’t see much of Raven. Then, Disney got hold of her. This all went down when my daughter (now 14 years old) started watching a lot of the Disney channel and all those mindless shows and movies aimed at the preteens. With each passing year, you could tell Raven was steadily gaining weight. She started out her Disney career at a healthy weight, not a stick, but not chunky either, just regular girl normal as apposed to ‘Hollywood Girl’ normal.
She is almost 23 years old, way to old to be playing teen parts, but she still does.

It’s a sleeping mask alrighty. I’ve always been proud of Raven for being the anti-Disney anorexic train wreck. But she needs a wardrobe change and maybe a little Jenny Craig. Sorry, Raven. The girl can actually sing tho’ unlike Lindsay Lohan.
