I broke my mother’s Genesis tape many years ago. Not out of some adolescent rage, but because I played it until it fell apart. Phil Collins is still on my playlists to this day.

And that just reminds me of how I drove my friends crazy in college making them listen to The Eagles and Don Henley’s solo work. It’s only fair, they made me listen to Sisqo (he who gave us the Thong Song. Yeah. Klassy.)

Wow! Phil Collins is straight? Maybe I confused him with Elton John or it could be that I find most Brits and Scots carry themselves in a particularly unmasculine fashion. I had a boss once who was Scottish and, seriously, I could SO picture this guy skipping down the hall. He never did it in the office, but I’m SURE he was a skipper.

My confession - as a kid, I had a giant poster of Kenny Rogers in a blue velour v-neck on my wall. God, I loved that poster. I feel I should note: this was before I hit puberty.
