They didn’t take ANY other pictures at that photo shoot? NONE they could have used other than this one? With a slightly bewildered, strangely posed actress? Who said “Hey, this kind of looks stupid, but let’s roll with it. It’s only the cover.”

My first thought upon seeing the pic (before reading the comments) was that somebody said something really gut-bustingly funny and then said “Hold it!” for the picture. Like she’s about to burst - but from laughter.
