See that happy shiny face above? That’s the face of Crystal Mangum, the exotic dancer who accused those Duke lacrosse players of raping her. She is releasing a memoir, and has hired a publicist and everything.
This makes me SEETHE. The fact that she could PROFIT, after essentially unraveling the lives of 3 families for months, is just sick.
Naturally, she’s not writing it on her own - she has a co-author, Vincent Clark, who claims that the book is “the only definitive account of the life and struggles of the woman at the center of the Duke Lacrosse case, the alleged accuser. Were it not for the Duke Lacrosse Case, she likely would be described as a bright, young woman from Durham, North Carolina, who has had a difficult life.”
WTF? “Alleged” accuser? There is nothing alleged about it. She flat out accused them, and ended up looking like a mentally disturbed pathological liar in the process. And, in an attempt to make this whole book idea look less money-driven, she plans to donate $1 from each book sold to help battered women. Gawd. Notice how she “plans to” donate money, and no specific cause or charity is identified? Yeah - she “plans to” donate money in the same way I “plan to” work out this evening. Which is to say that it’s not going to happen.
There is a video about the book release here, in which Vincent Clark responds to the question, ”Does she still believe she was the victim of rape?” His answer? ”There is a nuance to the answer to that, that I think is best for her to answer. We will discuss it in length as we get closer to the release date.” Of course they will. Money-grubbing jerks.

She’s definitely looking for monetary gain, but when you go as far as writing a book about your experience, that’s just pure narcissism. Kinda like with OJ, writing a book that basically says, “I swear I didn’t do it…but if I *did*, here’s what I would’ve done.”
It is a SICK society we live in that makes books like hers sell. And the publisher should be ashamed.
Fame or Infamy? To some people, there is no difference, and this includes the perpetrators and the idiots who would buy something like a book written by this lying stripper skank.
What did y’all expect? I mean, being a stripper is SUCH a moral and upstanding profession. One has such RESPECT for themselves and their clients, y’know.

Not to mention how much harder it makes it for ACTUAL rape victims to press their cases when liars like this exist. I hope the Duke boys and their families sue her for every penny she makes on this book.
I thought there was a law passed making it unlawfull for anyone to profit from books and stories resulting from them committing a crime. Bringing me to my next point was she not ever charged with filing a false police report, which would be a crime? Bitch should be locked up for all the trouble she caused. I hope she gets sued. Some people need it.
