The Mock Dock

So this past Friday, I was home early enough that when I turned on the TV, Tyra was on.  And do you remember some time ago when she had on that couple who was into squashing?  Well, that couple was back, along with several other ENORMOUS women who model, squash, and do other things to make money off of their largeness.

One such woman was the one pictured above - Queen Raqui.  Let me just say this:  in the photo above, she looks positively anorexic compared to how she looked on the Tyra show.  She is six foot four, and weighs 600 pounds.  She’s gigantic.  But she was on the show basically to talk about the fact that she is perfectly content to be the size she is, and that the services she provides are not sexual in nature at all, and that tons and tons of men pay her upwards of $300 an hour so that she will step on their backs or sit on them.  I am not making this up!! 

I have to tell you, this is a woman who knows how to dress herself.  She wasn’t one of those landbeasts who insists on wearing nothing but spandex and leopard print.  She looked, actually, really nice on the Tyra show.

The whole thing is completely fascinating to me.  I went to her website even though you can only see a preview if you don’t pay to join, and the top picture shows her standing next to a woman who’s 5′6 and 135 pounds.  The contrast is REMARKABLE.  She’s seriously one of the most enormous people ever.

Anyway, I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m kind of in awe of her.  Not that I aspire in any way to be LIKE her - but just that she’s obviously made herself a nice fortune off of her enormity and she’s pleased as punch to be a giant.  It’s kind of awesome.
