Remember the 90’s band Ace of Base? Well, I just heard one of their songs on the radio, and the dude said they were making a new album. How convenient, thought I, since all of their songs are actually the exact same song with different words. Not true, you say?
Behold. Below are three…DIFFERENT…Ace of Base songs. Listen to each one (or as much of it as you can stand), and then pause the song and listen to another. And then another. THEN…press play on all three. I just did this, and it is so weird. They are the exact same.
How did we not notice this before? I swear that if the Mock Dock…or the Internet…was around back then…we would have gotten to the bottom of this.
“The Sign”
“All that She Wants”
“Don’t Turn Around”

Ace of Crap is more like it. Nice hair lip dude.
Linkin Park is another example of talent-less broken-record-player type band. Also both are “I’m so tough but I’m so hurt but I’m still tough” douchbag posers.
Awww. Come on!! I grew up with Ace of Base and the reason they were so popular here in the United States was because they sound a lot like a cross between European dance/electronica music and American pop music. It was the only way we in the USA even NOTICED them enough to buy their records. It sounds like crap because most POP music IS crap!
Just take those old records off the shelf
I sit and listen to them by myself
Today’s music ain’t got the same soul
I like that old time a-rock ‘n’ roll
Don’t try to take me to a disco
You never even get me out on the floor
In ten minutes I’ll be late for the door
I like that old time rock ‘n’ roll
…Bob Seger - Old Time Rock N Roll
Butt cracks aside, a comparison between Ace of Base and Linkin Park might well be the most appalling thing I’ve ever seen on MockDock
Ok, Mock may very well hate me for this, so I’m apologizing in advance, but… Prince does the same thing. Listen to “Raspberry Beret” and then listen to “Little Red Corvette”.
Same song, different lyrics.

Holy Crap…I hate you guys right now. Ok, well not really. But first off…don’t quote Bob Seger to me. Bob Seger was talking about groups like Ace of Base when he sang about only liking old time rock and roll. Secondly, Prince has been, still is, and will always be in a separate category. Even if you are kinda right, I love Prince too much to ever let that go.
Prince forever.
Thank you.
I love Bob Seger. I want him inside me.
Come to think of it, I’ve always thought these 3 Ace of Base songs were the same one! o_O
Miley Cyrus does the same Ace of Base/Linkin Park/Nickelback thing, she just does it with other people’s songs rather than herself.
