I’m not kidding. Bunny is a card-carrying NRA member, along with Mr. Bunny, and Mr. Mock has been a gun-owner for years. I’ve always been super afraid of them, and had never even HANDLED one till a couple years ago, when we went to Bunny’s best friend’s house, where they have lots of land, and we shot at stuff.
You guys, I am not trying to be boastful at all when I tell you that I am flat awesome at it. Believe me, it was as huge a surprise to me as it was to everyone I was with. But I am! I aimed at stuff, and I used a couple of different guns even, and I hit stuff. From really far away even. I was so proud, especially considering that I was fully expecting to not even be able to HOLD a gun without injuring myself or those around me. I was mostly excited to go because I wanted an opportunity to pose like Charlie’s Angels (which I did) – so who knew that I’d end up being a good shot on top of it all.
Don’t ask me what sort of guns I shot because I have no idea. A couple of them were long and skinny and I think I shot Mr. Mock’s handgun too. I shot all sorts of things. Look!
See those bowling pins? That’s me, shooting all of them, in succession, in a matter of seconds. I am seriously THAT GOOD.
I have not shot a gun since that day a couple years ago, but I’ve got a hankering to do it again. Hopefully this spring I can shoot at stuff again. In the meantime, you know who shouldn’t ever be allowed to hold a gun ever? These people:

Wow, from the back you look like your Gravatar. Tee-hee! I seriously am anti-gun. Never would touch one. NEVER. But, I did let my hubby teach my teenage girl to shoot one. And she is pretty good. Good enough to scare some boys.
The video is GREAT!!! I’m mostly anti-gun (or rather, unti-gun-crazy) but I wouldn’t mind being able to shoot real good….
Pro gun all the way. I couldn’t help notice that didn’t look like Dick Cheney standing behind you, so it was safer environment already.
Good for you, Mock. Most of the folks in the video just need to use better control. If you tuck a rifle butt into your shoulder, and don’t stick your eye up next to it, the scope won’t hit you. If you use the proper grip, even the Desert Eagle and .454 Casull (those are, I believe, the handguns that those ladies were having trouble with) won’t flip up and knock you in the forehead. Or the gun-haters can just start a gun free zone in their home or office.
I can shoot an M-16, an M-4, and an M-9. But that it. Almost got marksman on the 16 once.

As a colorist, I tried that look…didn’t work out so well for me, unfortunately…But I’m sure it looks wonderful on you!

I LOOOOOVE going shooting! I’ve never had the chance to shoot a rifle, but handguns are definitely fun to shoot! There’s a target range near my house, and I’ve shot all handguns, and mostly like shooting a .44. Pro-gun of course, if you’re properly trained and not an idiot. Even if you’re not pro-gun, everyone should have the chance to learn to fire one properly. It’s a great stress reliever!
