I have had FOUR SEPARATE REQUESTS today from alert and astute mockdockers who want me to comment on the most recent Ashley Judd quote at the recent 40th birthday luncheon for NARAL Pro-Choice America, held this past Tuesday. Ashley mc’d the event, and a slideshow was presented depicting George Bush and other pro-life politicians (while the audience booed and hissed at it like 2nd graders). After the slide show, Ashley exclaimed, “It’s so nice to live in America again.” As if, you know, she hasn’t been until now.
Now then. I’m not going to get all political in this post, because it makes absolutely no difference whether you’re conservative or liberal or independent or whatever – but it is NEVER OK to diss your country like that just because you haven’t been happy with the last administration. Ashley hasn’t minded living in the America where Americans paid to see her stupid movies over the last eight years. The article that you fine mockdockers linked me to said it best when they said, “She loves her country. As long as a Democrat is in the White House.” LOVE that quote.

Perhaps the weight gain is being done for commercial reasons. Isn’t her half-sister doing commercials for a weight loss system? If it is viable commercially for her I wouldn’t exclude it as an option. After all they have two places in Scotland one approximately $6-800K and Rednock House which was purchased for approximately $2M with several M in upgrades.
Mock, I haven’t always agreed with you pollitically, but I TOTALLY agree that it is so uncool to dis your own country like she did! That is just the lowest thing anyone can do.
I agree with you with one exception. Has anyone really paid to see her movies in the past eight years? None come to mind. I remember seeing her on Oprah when she and her scary mom ganged up on Wynonna for being fat, and I heard her on Car Talk,”being funny” a few years ago. Other than that, I thought she was busy pretending to LOVE basketball and promoting her discount make-up line.
Let me see…I finally got my President so I should be happy, but I still want to be angry. How can I continue to stay angry? I know! I’ll just keep rehashing the last 8 years!
