They are looking for unsuspecting people walking up to the event who ended up with two extra tickets because their friends bailed, boss gave them two more tickets at the last minute, etc. "Need tickets" guy is hoping to take them off their hands at a bargain price, then sell then at a sharp mark up once he has accumulated some supply. The signs that amuse me driving around the countryside are the ones that say, "Clean Fill Available", and then, a few miles later, "Clean Fill Wanted". THOSE are the people who need to get together. Of course, the rub there is that those who want the fill want it delivered, and those trying to give it away want it picked up. I admit, after reading that you and Daisy were heading to the Brickyard, I worried what your next post might be - if Dario had won. :) Fortunately, we are all happy that the Faux French Intellectual did NOT get her glory. and Helio DID get his vindication and 3rd win. To Dani, a lot of folks don't get racing, so you're not alone. It's really about Stamina, teamwork, engineering and a lot of luck. And of course, you have to be actually pulling for a certain driver to make it work. Once you get past the first lap, and see how many drivers are lost to attrition in the first turn, it narrows the field. I’m glad you had a great time. There is just something about going around in a circle for hours that does nothing for me. I'm glad that you had a good time though! I see the same ticket situation on my way into football games. Mostly the people who are looking for tickets are doing it so they can turn around and sell them at a higher price. It does look funny to see them standing next to each other though!
