God, I love this picture of Ashley Judd so much. Everytime I look at it, I imagine that she is quacking. And I have no idea why. I guess it’s that face – it just reminds me of the face that ducks make when they quack. Do you see it?
Anyway, according to this, Obama has done the unthinkable, which is to say that he’s IGNORED ASHLEY JUDD’S PLEAS to stop mountaintop coal mining. In fact, he’s authorized a dozen more mountaintop removal projects.
She’s got to be FURIOUS about this, considering all that time she spent campaigning for him and crying and gushing and fawning over him.
And I’m not going to sit here and pretend that imagining her fury doesn’t make me giggle, and even quack a little bit.
QUACK!
I imagine the noise she’s making would sound like the talking goat from the recent post.
When I look at her, I get more of a “Blaaaat” sheep-like sound.
With her mouth that wide open and the microphone that close, I don’t know if she was talking in to it or getting ready to practice a little fellatio on it.

During a recession, jobs trump environmentalists every time. At least John McCain told the truth to people like this, and the union members who railed against NAFTA. Obama whispered carefully worded sweet nothings in their ear, and then turned against them. Who would have guessed?
Sea Otter: even from here (Canada), it was obvious that McCain was losing big time; whereas Obama was clearly on a winning go. It seems to me that diplomacy in declarations is always practised in such cases. And even if one never knows just what one will get with a new politician in office (or, more exactly, with a politician in a new office), I really haven’t been surprised by Obama until now.
Just sayin’.
One more thing, patience is in order: at least intelligence has found the White House once againé
(Another thought in passing: my respect for Bush, not enormous up to now (heh), has increased since I heard him reported as saying that Obama deserved his silence. That is respectable. Unlike the behaviour of a lot of Republicans with mikes and cameras on them.)
