I didn’t get the feeling that he was sincere. OJS is absolutely right- you know this wasn’t the first time.

To play devil’s advocate for a minute: He probably would’ve been better off to release a statement earlier. I hate when lawyers tell their clients not to say anything. It is a cowardly move.

You can tell he’s reading from a prompter or a poster board, because he’s not looking at the camera when speaking. He looks below it, and doesn’t really seem to try to hide the fact that he’s reading.
