So, Daisy and I went for lunchtime pedicures on Monday, to this place around the corner from our office, and it was such a perfectly awesome way to spend a lunch hour, you guys. I highly recommend lunchtime pedicures. Sometimes, there’s nothing better than just sitting in a big massage chair, while someone rubs on your feet and calves for 45 minutes. And then there’s the added bonus of being able to leave with really pretty feet.
After our feet were done getting massaged and buffed and polished, we waddled over to the toe drying station. And that’s when I noticed that there was a BAR in the nail salon.
And it’s not even that there’s a bar in a nail salon – it’s that there’s a creepy ET doll on top of the bar in the nail salon. See him? Right above the digital clock? What in the holy hell?
And so I turned to Daisy and said, “We’re in a nail salon with a full bar and a creepy ET doll. Because OF COURSE we are.” It just wouldn’t be us to go to a NORMAL nail salon.
This is why we are best friends. Suicidal chickens, flying chihuahuas, and nail salons with full bars and ET dolls.
A bar in the the salon! I soooo want/need to go there! Love it! The owners are geniuses!

What time is your breakfast. I mean lunch. You said this took 45 minutes and when they were done, you “waddled” over to another area where you noticed the bar. I assume this is when you took the picture which shows it was 11:29. So roughly speaking, the time it takes to get there plus check in and get started, then add the 45 minutes prior to the picture. Your lunch start about 10:30?
Yes, BB. We are approximately 163 years old. In fact, I get up around 4:30 or 5 am every morning, so I’m STARVING by 9:30. I just hold out for another hour because it’s more socially acceptable to do so. Otherwise, I’d have lunch at 9:30, another lunch at 1:30, and then dinner at 3:30. Then watch Lawrence Welk before turning in for the night at 7:30, of course.
