Did you guys see this on the news yesterday? This cat is like the world’s most affectionate-to-strangers cat on the PLANET. This is the raw footage of it attacking a policeman with love. If love were a weapon, this cat would be the leading expert in using it.
It makes me miss my evil kitty kitty, who was never anywhere NEAR this nice to strangers. In fact, she LOATHED strangers. But when she was a kitten, she would climb up my pant legs just like this cat does with the cop. And she’d perch on my shoulders when I was washing dishes.
She was evil, but I loved her.

That is one patient policeman. Has, or had, cats. Congratulations to him.
I had an evil kitty too, Mock. She hated everyone equally but I still loved her.
There is one word to describe this man: Professional
I hadn’t seen this one yet. I couldn’t stop giggling! What a persistent kitty. Seemed quite friendly, too.
They really do not like to be ignored, with the exception of my huge kitty. He is ONLY friendly towards anyone when he’s hungry. Once he’s fed, he’s “Mr Aloofness”. LOL
That officer’s uniform must be 50% Polyester and 50% catnip.
I love how he just goes about his business like there isn’t a cat crawling up his lag and chilling on his neck.
I generally don’t like cats because they are too stuck up for my liking, but I could get on board with an affectionate cat like that one.
He sure is focused. That cat must be hungry.
His purr reads: Don’t ticket my human!
We are the lucky owners of an affectionate kitty. He goes on walks with us (cause he is sure the dog is getting special treatment and want to see where he gets to go). He sits on the sidewalk outside our house and “greets” everyone walking by. He sits patiently while little kids pull (and in one case chew) on his ears and tail. And once he climbed into the mail truck just to say “hi”. The only problem is that more than once I have had to go and rescue him from “concerned” people that if he is that persistant and friendly, he must need feeding and a good home.
OJS–that’s funny!
Jen, does your kitty have a sibling that needs adopting? I really would love a loving kitty. We have a Maine Coon mix who has his own unique personality, but when it comes to kitty loves, he truly isn’t into that unless it’s HIS choice and ONLY HIS choice. =^.^=
I have 2 cats, both of whom are pretty affectionate. One cat constantly paws at me and meows like “You haven’t forgotten me since the last time I pawed at you twelve seconds ago. Right? Right?”
It’s like the cat’s saying, “ME, ME MEEEE!! PAY ATTENTION TO MEEE!!!” I love how the cop never started cracking up. I totally would have lost it!
Tina, I WISH he had a sibling! He is almost 14 years old now and we my 12 year old son (who only sleeps without this cat when he spends the night at someone elses house) has started asking “how long do cats normally live?”… I am holding out hope that this cat makes it to 20 or beyond.
Our Maine Coon is a very humble cat, but I am really wonder if that policemen has a cat at home.
Probably, he has and he love his “fellow”.
That policeman was certainly very patient with the persistent kitty, especially when it did the butt in the face routine. That’s a favorite routine of my evil kitties when they want to be noticed.
