Brittany Murphy is dead at 32. From cardiac arrest. OMG!
TMZ is reporting that her husband doesn’t want an autopsy, but one will be performed anyway.
Remember that movie she did with Ashton Kutcher when they played newlyweds who had the most horrific honeymoon ever? I loved that movie.
Holy wow. I can’t believe she’s dead. I don’t have the weeps over it or anything, but yowza – 32 is really really really really young.
Let the conspiracy theories begin.
There was also a Bengals (sp?) player that died too. He was in his 20s. Granted, it wasn’t cardiac arrest, but still a tragic end to a young life.
My money is on drugs for Britney.
I think it’s like a Heath Ledger thing – mixing prescription drugs. Her husband seems like a winner, too.
Cardiac arrest? I’m wondering if it was anorexia/eating disorder related. Possibly drugs too. Either way, just so sad. She was quite young.

I’m with ER on this one. I think I remember hearing that she was anorexic/bulimic at some point. Could be a Karen Carpenter situation where her heart just gave out. Such a terrible thing to happen right before Christmas.

This is quite sad. I know they have updated the situation and found a ton of prescription medications at Brittany’s house.
So it’s possible that it was related to mixing of all the wrong drugs plus bulimia.
They also mentioned that she was complaining of shortness of breath and intense stomach pain, which could have been a sign of a blood clot.
As for her husband, not much of a looker, but his desires of not wanting an autopsy is possibly due to his Jewish roots. I believe it is against their religion to do any kind of autopsy as well as bury the body within the next sun set. They often have a family member stay and keep watch over the body until they can bury the member.
