Inappropriate.

It’s not that the dude on the left doesn’t have the physique to pull off being basically naked.  He most certainly does.   It’s just that he’s in a PINK G-STRING.  And his buddy has on a teeny tiny pink vest and bottoms based on the movie Contact.

I don’t care how gay these guys are.  There is no excuse for that kind of pink abuse.

I never understood why gay people dress like this, or get all S&M in their parades. Like, if you want to be accepted as normal members of society, why dress like deviants?

Absolutely, Zachary! And the worst part is that the media conveniently ignore it — mustn’t show what they’re really like. The Onion has a great satire about this: http://www.theonion.com/articles/gaypride-parade-sets-mainstream-acceptance-of-gays,351/

Any chance the guy on the left is the “Old Spice” guy?

Yes… gay guys dress like that.

But WHY, Francisco Dreadful? That is the question. Why wear things that are obviously indecent in public if the whole point of your parades/gatherings/etc. is to prove to the public that you should be considered decent?

I have nothing against gay people. I have plenty of gay friends. None of them dress like BDSM maniacs (that I know of). Neither do my straight friends.

Zachary… I wasn’t serious when I posted my previous comment Honestly, I don’t want to be like one of those hypersensitive gay guys who take everything as a personal offense, but I have to disagree with, well… everyone. Sorry :D

I have never seen any gay guys dressing like that, at least not face to face. I DO think, however, that gay pride parades are extremely pethetic, ridiculous and pointless. Those gay guys with ridiculous and skanky s&m outfits are an embarrasment and even kind of… offensive? I mean, these dopes go on a parade and they show themselves to the world, saying ‘we’re queer and we’re here… deal with it’ giving everyone a bad impression of what gay people look like, and act like. They don’t represent anyone but themselves, I think.

But leaving that aside, I’ve never seen any gay guys dressing like that. Maybe I’m just lucky? I’m really sorry for anyone who has to see gay guys who dress like THAT, regardless of the occasion! But, in my opinion, they are extremely hard to find.

Oh man, Francisco, they do in Hollywood and West Hollywood — and not just for the parades. Thank goodness it’s been years since the infamous New Year’s Eve party at the Hollywood Athletic Club. It took me days to get over the shock of seeing people dress that way in real life and seeing what went from a conga line to a frottage-fest — with only gay guys participating and everyone else either getting grossed out and leaving (me) or being trapped in a corner as the conga line spiralled and grew tighter …

eww, it grosses me out just to remember.
