A friend of mine posted this on FB last night, and if you haven’t seen it before you should see it. But be forewarned, you will BAWL. I was WRECKED by this last night, what with my soft spot for old people and therapy dogs and whatnot.
Baxter died several months ago, which is ALSO heartbreaking, but what a remarkable life he had.
Sobbing.

Sob fest, indeed…. Jesus.
Adorable in a ‘I feel like crying my eyes out’ type of adorable-ness.
I KNOW my father would have found much comfort when he was dying in a dog like Baxter. Lovely.
Glad I put on the super-duper waterproof mascara this morning. What a great story. Love.
Well…I can’t stop the tears. What a beautiful and sweet dog. It made me turn around and squeeze my dog Max and his buddie Beauregard. Oh my goodness…..
Holy crap Mock. don’t do that to us. V unmanly to be leaking from the eyes like that
I have to admit that it’s cute, and it’s a very admirable thing to do, but if the dog is dying himself, and can’t even walk, how do you know he even wants to be there with those people?
I don’t know, it just seems a little too exploitive to me. And if I were one of those people that were dying, I don’t know how comfortable I would be to someone coming in my room saying “Here’s my dying dog! Now you’re not the only one!”
Mock you suck big time for that!
Excuse me while I go and kiss my dogs!
Megan set asise your cynacism for a moment and watch the video again. I thought it amazing that both the dying woman and the dying dog were able to both have enough left in them to comfort eachother.
Even in death we can have a testament to life.
Excellent observation, Eyeballs….
Crying at work…lovely.
Aw man, you weren’t kidding. This really, literally made me cry actual real world tears. It’s amazing how an animal can get inside your heart so quickly, and give you just exactly what you need. This is such a beautiful story!
I was crying my eyes out. Lovely.
I’m crying tears of joy and sorrow……Baxter holds a special place in my heart.
