Size, In This Case, Doesn’t Matter

Ever since I told you all about my hatred of turtles, I’ve been amused at how often some of you have tried to send me turtle-related stuff in the hopes that with exposure therapy, you could cure me of this hatred.

FYI: It is NOT WORKING. :)

Now, I’ll admit, when an alert and astute mockdocker sent me the turtle with the kitten riding on its back, I was slightly disarmed. But only because I focused on the kitten, and less on its mode of transport.

Today, an alert and astute mockdocker sent me this video, with a message that said, “I know how you feel about turtles, but this one is SO TINY!”

But, as I replied to this mockdocker, LOOK AT THAT TINY TURTLE’S FACE! That is the face of PURE EVIL, you guys. Watching that thing eat is like watching a horror movie.

Thankfully, you’re all also really good at sending me adorable animal photos too, and this one of a monkey with its own personal cat helped me get over the tiny turtle terror:

We had a big desert tortoise on our porch on day and I enjoyed watching it. Sadly, it left the next day.

Cool, size doesn’t matter. Next time I meet a lady, I’ll just ask her
“So, would you like to see my little turtle?”

Awww, that’s so cute. My parents have a tortoise named Ninja, and he’s the much-bigger version of the little tortoise in the video.

I don’t know why you think that’s an evil face — it doesn’t even have any teeth! Tortoises chewing always look like toothless old men. They’re not at all aggressive.

But hey, I have a completely irrational fear of heights.

I’m with Rachel. That monkey is just waiting for everyone to turn around so he can rip the head off that kitten.

I”m with you, Rachel. Monkeys creep me out but turtles are adorable. And really, if you are faced with the choice of a rabid monkey attack or a rabid turtle attack, which one is going to be worse? Seriously, you can always just outrun the turtle, while monkeys can jump on your back and rip out your eyes! *shudder*

I have dorm friends with turtles and I REFUSE to touch them. But they got caught with them and they’re being taken away. I’m secretly happy about this.
