I Have TOTALLY Done This

And I’m not ashamed to say that there are some DAMN good screwcap wines out there.

Yeah, it’s typically not the first bottle of the evening that this happens on.

For 20 bucks I’ll never mention it again.

Yep, I’ve tried to cut the foil off a screw top before….hanging my head in shame.

Ok, so I’m kind of a drinking newbie and I need some tips on how to open corked wine bottles without ending up with the cork pushed inside the bottle. Every time I use one of those bottle opener thingies I just end up with a hole in the cork, and the cork won’t budge, and when I try to pull it out I somehow end up pushing it in the bottle. I know, I’m pathetic. ;)

Thanks, Buckeye, I’ll have to go get the Williams Sonoma one as it does look so much easier. :)

I’ve done this too. Not my proudest moment, but I rarely have those when on the vino.

Then there’s this method… I’ll have to remember this the next time I’m locked in a wine cellar ;)

Mr. SunnyAZ put the Rabbit (electric wine opener) in my Christmas stocking. I love it and him even more!
