The Mock Dock

You know this dude was totally texting.

Boxes and boxes and boxes of vodka. Such a waste.

So, just now, Mr. Mock and I were watching the local news, and they were doing a story on child identity theft.  And they were interviewing random people in one of the Indy parks.  And, like news stations often do, they peppered their news story with various scenes of kids playing in the background, and then back to the reporter, and then back to people interviews, and then back to scenes of kids playing.

And then we saw this:

And my first thought was, “Huh.  Those look just like Mini-Mock’s shoes.”  And about two heartbeats later, when the knee and elbow appeared on screen, Mr. Mock and I simultaneously exclaimed, “OMG – that’s totally Mini-Mock!”

Yeah.  Mr. Mock had taken Mini to the park like two weeks ago, and apparently his elbow, knee and Mini-Mock’s feet were recorded for the news.  HOW CRAZY IS IT that we would just happen to catch the probably only time ever that this particular blip of coverage would be shown on TV?  I mean, what are the chances?

So naturally, we rewound (Thank God for DVR) and showed Mini Mock his feet, and his daddy’s elbow and knee, and he was OVERJOYED that his feet were on tv.  We watched the 2-3 seconds of it like 22 times.  And I said to Mr. Mock, “You know what?  You’re hot.”  Because I really did think his elbow and knee looked especially attractive in that news segment.  And he looked at me like I was crazy and you know what he said in response to that sweet bit of romance I threw at him?

He said, “That post you did earlier with the fat guy?  That was a bobcat, not a forklift.”

That’s how we maintain the magic, mockdockers.  It’s those exchanges right there which keep the spark alive.  :)

Is this not the oddest -shaped man you’ve ever seen?  But seriously – I have to give him snaps for not only working in a forklift, but fitting in a forklift.  THAT is impressive.

So, who here has a state or county fair coming up soon?  Are you getting your cameras ready?  I’m so excited to start getting photo submissions I can hardly stand it.  And remember, for those of you who have fairs in the fall, there’ll be a separate contest for you.  Because there’s nothing better than a summer fair photo contest than a summer fair photo contest followed immediately by a fall fair photo contest.
