The Mock Dock

An alert and astute mockdocker posted this on my FB wall, and it’s the Glee kids singing the National Anthem, and it’s great.

I *heart* Glee.

I wrote about how badly Christina Aguilera botched the National Anthem at the superbowl on my other site the other day.  Did you guys HEAR that?  It was unbearable.  It wasn’t just that she messed up the lyrics, which was bad enough.  She tried to completely transform the SONG, into nothing but a showcase of her vocal range.  And it made the song utterly unrecognizable.

Which is why this totally gave me the glees:

I mean, whoever decided to pull together these photos of The Rock to make fun of Christina Aguilera clearly needs to be friends with me. LOVE.

OMG. I can’t even process how utterly mortified this poor girl must have been. And how much more mortified she’d be knowing that this video is probably totally viral by now.

Why is she allowed to sing in public?

Actually, that’s probably not fair. I mean, if you just listen to this without looking at it, it’s awful, but it’s not monstrously awful. If you WATCH it though, then it’s monstrously hideously horribly awful. Those faces. Those stripes. That mouth. The back of the dress.

Wow. You know what? This is admittedly mean, but Jessica Simpson has one of those faces that just screams “I’m an idiot.” I know she can’t help that, and so I’m halfway kind of sorry to say that out loud, but it’s true.

You know I’m right.

Mr. Mock and I are settling in for the big game.  Jennifer Hudson just sang the PANTS off the national anthem.  Normally, I don’t care for people who get all dramatic with it, and do all those crazy runs and make it barely recognizable.  But I thought she did great, and she showed the proper amount of reverence about it.  LOVE.

P.S.  I am totally rooting for the Cardinals, just because of how precious the Kurt Warner story is.  You?
