So, I think I told you guys that my computer got attacked by a super porn virus last week, riiiiight about this time. But since my IT guy fixed it, I’ve had a problem-free week, which has been great. Until tonight, when I went to log on. I got this weird message that said, “Windows cannot load the locally stored profile. Possible causes of this error include insufficient security rights or a corrupt local profile. If this problem persists, contact your network administrator.”
So that’s what I did. I contacted him. And I explained the problem, and he told me that he basically needed to spend some time with my computer on Monday, and that “sometimes XP just does that.” What in the holy hell? XP just decides it doesn’t feel like recognizing me anymore? Nice.
So, the good news is that I can BE on the computer, and access the internet. The bad news is that I can’t get to my email, I can’t get to my pictures, and I can’t get to any of my files. So I’m sort of a spayed version of my normal self.
Clearly, I’m meant to have a mac laptop. Don’t you think? I mean, I have a mac desktop at home and it’s fabulous, but if I’m on it, I’m on the opposite side of the house as my family, and I don’t like to be away from them.
